Our purpose & method

A comparison should reveal its limits.

Find Law Firms is built around a simple distinction: organising information is useful, but it is not the same as choosing a professional for someone.

We make the fields easier to inspect.

Our role is to let you place a small number of directory records beside one another. Provider type, locality and listed services remain visible, as do gaps in the information. There is no overall score to flatten those details into a winner. You decide which records to inspect and which differences deserve a question.

One shared source, an explicit method.

The underlying provider records are shared with other legal-directory sites in this network. A different presentation is not a second independent verification. We have not independently checked every entry. Service categories and directory check dates do not certify professional status, expertise or current capacity.

How results are ordered

Featured placements appear first. Remaining ordering uses a directory-data score, then business name and a stable record identifier. The data score reflects populated fields and recorded checking signals, such as contact, location and service information. It does not measure legal skill, results, client satisfaction or suitability. Featured cards are labelled so placement is visible.

The public record identifies featured status but does not explain the commercial terms behind an individual placement. Do not infer an independent recommendation or a quality award from it. Several offices of one firm may appear separately; the displayed total counts records, not verified unique firms.

Use guidance alongside the records

Our service guides include practical enquiry examples, questions and comparisons of possible scopes. They are general preparation material, not statements about a particular office. The editorial approach explains source scope, AI assistance and the absence of claimed professional legal review.

Missing information stays missing.

We do not invent prices, response times, availability or experience to complete a table. The differences-only control compares the displayed field values. It does not judge whether those differences are important or beneficial. A record selected for comparison has not earned an endorsement.

Your enquiry stays with you.

Selecting a record does not contact a provider. The temporary selection lives in this browser tab and clears on a full reload. Comparison links contain public record slugs, not a private case file. Search words also appear in the URL, so do not include confidential circumstances. The directory is not a secure document-sharing service.

Keep the professional checks separate.

Records can include law practices and other provider types. Read the classification and confirm current credentials through the appropriate professional register. Contact links are withheld when an identity-review flag is present, but the absence of that flag is not a guarantee. Confirm identity, fees, conflicts, scope and acceptance directly before relying on an engagement.
