Choose the unit of comparison
Start with one piece of work: an explanation of a document, an initial discussion or help with a defined next step. Write a short outline that you can use consistently when approaching offices. Do not start with a price column before you know what the price would cover. The aim is to make different responses understandable, not to force every practice into an identical service.

Keep three kinds of information apart
Published information belongs in one part of your notes. Answers received directly from an office belong in another, with the date and context. Questions still open belong in a third. Moving an assumption into the confirmed column creates a misleading comparison even if the layout looks precise. Our comparison tool only displays directory fields; it has not gathered individual quotes or checked each practice's capacity.

Look for changes in scope
If a response proposes additional work, ask why it has been included and how it affects the first step. Equally, ask what a narrower proposal leaves for you to do. You may decide that two offers cannot yet be compared. That is useful information, not a failure of the exercise. Request clarification through the practice's verified channel rather than supplying confidential material in a public search.

Make the decision outside the table
Before engaging a provider, check its current professional status, identity, conflicts process and ability to act. Confirm costs and responsibilities directly. The final choice depends on information this directory does not assess. A selected column is simply a record you chose to look at; it is not a recommendation, a ranking or an agreement with that office.
